Your organization settings
Your business details live under Organization settings, which an admin reaches from the settings page. This is your company profile plus the connections to your point-of-sale and receipt inbox. (Your own password and your team live on the main Settings page instead.)
Company
The Company section holds three things:
- Company name: your business name, shown in the app and on documents you send.
- Timezone: used wherever the app needs to know “today” in your shop, like day-of-week pars.
- Business address: a free-text address that’s shown on purchase orders so vendors know which location ordered. It prints in the From block at the top of every PO, so type it the way you want it to appear.
Logo
Upload a logo and it shows in your app’s sidebar. PNG, JPG, or WebP up to 1 MB. There’s a Remove logo button if you want to go back to plain text.
Email alerts
Turn on Email alerts and ShelfCount keeps an eye on two things for you, emailing your managers and admins so nobody has to remember to check:
- Low stock: one morning digest listing every item under its par, sent at your configured morning hour so there’s time to order. You only get it on days something is actually below par.
- Price changes: when you approve a receipt that moves an item’s cost by more than 10%, an email flags it, so a big jump doesn’t slip into your numbers unnoticed.
It’s a single on/off switch for both, off by default. Send morning emails at sets the shop-local hour the low-stock digest goes out — and doubles as the hour for scheduled count reminders, so both land at the same time in the morning.
Connections
The same page is where you connect the outside services ShelfCount reads from:
- Point of sale: choose Square, Toast, or Clover, and enter its credentials. That’s what syncs your sales for theoretical-vs-actual food cost. See Square, Toast, or Clover.
- Receipt email inbox: the mailbox ShelfCount checks for invoices, so receipts can flow in without anyone uploading them by hand. See Receipts and invoice scanning.
For your security, saved credentials are never shown again. If you need to change one, type the new value over it; leaving a field blank keeps what’s already stored.
Organization settings are admin-only. Managers can run day-to-day work but don’t change company details or connections. More on that in Your team and roles.
